Our Families

At BCCDS our families are an important element of our success. Our parents are very active in the school's PTO. Composed of involved parents, PTO initiatives include Holiday Shops, Yearbooks, Fundraisers, Sports Nights, Teacher Appreciation Luncheons and Scholastic Book Fairs. In addition, committees are formed for Academic Enrichment, Capital Improvement and Learning Resources.

The PTO plans several "just for fun" family socials during the school year. Past favorites have included a private BCCDS/family/friends roller skating party at a local rink for an afternoon or evening, cosmic bowling, an evening at a local theater for a family oriented show and Trenton Thunder.

We pride ourselves on an open door policy that creates a positive and fluid environment between parents, students, administration and teachers.Together we make BCCDS a wonderful place for kids to blossom within a village of loving parents and caring professionals.

Feel free to contact us so that we can put you in direct contact with our families so that you can hear first hand their opinions about our school. We trust you will like what they have to say.

Parents Statements:

"BCCDS creates an environment of positive learning and social growth by giving children the opportunity to develop their minds, creativity and individuality through numerous academic and social opportunities."
~ Robin Geary

"Following less than positive experiences in public school, my son has flourished as a student at BCCDS. He finds it socially rewarding and academically challenging.  More important than his success as a student, I credit BCCDS with helping my son develop self-esteem and a sense of belonging."
~ Dianne Chewning

"My daughter, Jennifer, takes great pleasure attending 7th grade at Bucks County Country Day School.  The school offers her the opportunity for an excellent education, building character, self-confidence and motivation. The small class size provides individualized lessons, so that she can learn at her own pace by dedicated and caring teachers, making education an enjoyable experience. My daughter participates in practically every activity the school has to offer. BCCDS continues to be a wonderful school, a challenging learning experience, and one of the best decisions I have ever made selecting a school for my daughter."

"My son William has gone to BCCDS since Kindergarten and is now in 7th grade and I could not have chosen a better school for him. The main reason I initially chose BCCDS was for the small class size, which is definitely a big plus, but there are so many additional reasons why we stay. I would like to name a couple:
A truly dedicated Owner, Head of School, Teachers and Staff who care so deeply for all of the students and provide a learning atmosphere which encourages each student to express themselves, be creative, never be afraid to ask questions and be yourself because you are important and valued as an individual. The school builds self-confidence and self-esteem while teaching important values such as courtesy and respect for others. I feel that William will be well prepared for High School, has made a lot good friends and had many awesome learning experiences which he will remember forever thanks to the wonderful family at BCCDS."
~ Cathy Lohr

"When I think of BCCDS, one word comes to mind: family. More than just a school, it is a  supportive, secure and nurturing environment where each child is thought of as an individual, and as a result, their self confidence flourishes. It is a place where a child is encouraged and is comfortable to take risks and be themselves. With all the care and love the teachers show to their students, it is a wonderful learning environment."

"My family came to BCCDS eight years ago specifically because of the full day kindergarten program. Our thought at the time was that we were going to send our son for kindergarten and then move on to public school. Once we experienced the school we changed our minds. I say "we experienced" because as parents we feel as much a part of the school as our son does.  Justin is now in 7th grade and we are thrilled with the way he has flourished, both academically and socially. The children are taught as individuals, if they excel in something they are taught at a different level and if they need additional help, it's given. While academics are paramount in our choices that we make for our son, the sense of self that is encouraged and promoted at BCCDS holds as much importance to us. We truly feel that we could not have made a better choice."
